Intern Engineer - (Co-Op - May 2026 Start)

The Engineering Intern position provides an opportunity to work on projects that support national security missions while enhancing skills in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Apply your classroom-learned skills to a program supporting the defense of our country
  • Work on projects that support some of our nation’s fundamental defense services
  • Work with collaborative teams on various technical projects associated with our core mission
  • Contribute to CONOPS, requirements definition, software modeling, analysis, design, integration, test, and verification of these systems

Skills

  • Thorough understanding of engineering technology
  • Enrolled in an accredited degree program in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline
  • Preference for a standing of a sophomore or higher
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Clear understanding of the software engineering concepts, principles, theories, software development process, and agile methodology
  • Clear understanding of the software development process, with agile experience
  • Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
  • Embedded Software

  • Programming experience in C, C++, Python
