Here’s the Opportunity! We are looking for an experienced and skilled bookkeeping professional to join and grow with us. Responsibilities o Provide full service bookkeeping to an assigned group of GSBS ministry clients o Accurately and quickly enter transactions, reconcile accounts, pay bills, and run payroll each month o Work with clients needing clean up and/or build-out work on their financials o Work and communicate well within a team setting to continually WOW our clients with excellence Requirements: o Quickbooks Online Certification o College level business or accounting courses o Demonstrated knowledge of church/nonprofit financial practices with at least two years of experience working for a church or faith-based nonprofit o Demonstrated experience with assessing church and ministry financial statements, reporting on issues, and performing necessary clean up and/or build out work. o Ability to excel in a remote team work environment (candidate must reside in California) Experience o A minimum of two years of work experience in a church or faith-based nonprofit is required o Financial statement assessment skills and experience with cleaning up and/or building out financial statements is required o A financial accounting/bookkeeping background o Proven experience working in Quickbooks Online or Desktop o Experience in cleaning up past financials for churches and ministries preferred.
