FP&A Analyst
BuildOps is a leading software platform for commercial contractors, aiming to revolutionize the industry. They are seeking an FP&A Analyst to support finance operations, reporting, forecasting, and planning processes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Support monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis, ARR tracking, KPI updates, and department-level spend reviews
- Assist in updating and maintaining financial models used for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis
- Partner with Accounting during month-end close to ensure data accuracy across revenue, expenses, and headcount
- Prepare recurring performance reports and dashboards for department leaders, executives, and internal stakeholders
- Support workforce planning by helping maintain headcount files, hiring plans, and cost modeling
- Help maintain Adaptive Insights (or spreadsheet-based models) by updating assumptions, data loads, mappings, and reporting templates
- Provide data and documentation for external audits and support Accounting with ad hoc requests
- Conduct ad hoc analysis for strategic requests, special projects, and process improvements across Finance
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or financial analysis (internships acceptable)
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills—comfortable with formulas, modeling logic, and data manipulation
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and ask questions when clarification is needed
- A proactive mindset—someone who takes ownership and wants to grow into a Senior Analyst role
- SaaS or startup experience is a plus, but not required
