Job Summary The Elite Job is seeking a Virtual Sustainable Fashion Designer to create innovative, eco-friendly clothing for leading sustainable brands. You will be responsible for developing unique, trend-forward designs while ensuring they align with environmental and ethical standards. As a remote designer, you will collaborate with production teams, textile manufacturers, and marketing professionals to bring your concepts to life while reducing the carbon footprint of the fashion industry.

Key Responsibilities

• * Design Sustainable Apparel: Create innovative clothing and accessories using eco-friendly materials and ethical production methods.
• * Trend Research: Stay up to date with sustainable fashion trends, fabrics, and emerging technologies.
• * Digital Prototyping: Develop digital sketches and tech packs for production using software like Adobe Illustrator, CLO 3D, or Browzwear.
• * Material Sourcing: Identify and recommend sustainable materials and textiles to ensure ethical sourcing.
• * Collaboration: Work with pattern makers, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure design feasibility and sustainability.
• * Sustainability Compliance: Ensure designs meet industry sustainability standards, such as GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and Fair Trade certifications.
• * Client and Brand Customization: Adapt designs to meet the needs of eco-conscious brands and their target audiences.
• Required Skills and Qualifications
• * Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
• * Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and eco-friendly materials.
• * Proficiency in fashion design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CLO 3D, Browzwear).
• * Knowledge of textile science, fabric properties, and ethical sourcing.
• * Excellent creativity and ability to translate concepts into innovative designs.
• * Strong communication and collaboration skills for working in a virtual team.
• Experience
• * 2+ years of experience in fashion design, preferably with a focus on sustainability.
• * Experience with zero-waste patterns, upcycling, and circular fashion principles is a plus.
• * Previous remote or freelance design experience is beneficial.
