Corporate Sustainability/ESG Writer - Rivel, Inc. - Westport, CT - work from home job Company: Rivel, Inc. Job description: Come work for a company that makes culture a priority. Our growing company is hiring for a U.S.-based Corporate Sustainability/ESG report writer within our Governance and Sustainability (G&S) division. This is a remote, full-time role, reporting to a senior employee. Occasional travel to our Westport, CT office may be necessary if you live in the tri-state area. The ideal candidate is an outstanding writer, proofreader and copy editor. Experience writing sustainability/ESG reports and/or in the financial, consulting or non-profit sectors is a plus, though not required. Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our internal G&S Advisory team and creative teams and our clients to produce Corporate Sustainability/ESG reporting.
• Use technical writing and narrative storytelling to craft longform copy for first drafts.
• Copyedit, revise and proofread your work and others’.
• Prioritize projects/deliverables to meet absolute deadlines.
• Join G&S Advisory team in client interviews to capture content and copy direction consistent with the brand’s voice and messaging, preferred editorial style guidelines and broader initiatives.
• Oversee look, feel and navigation, and advise on content strategy.
• Work directly with the Managing Director to support other internal and external initiatives to help strengthen client deliverables and internal projects.
• Build and maintain key relationships across the G&S department and Rivel, Inc.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred (English, Communications, Journalism, or related field).
• Technical understanding and experience with various sustainability reporting standards and English writing style guides.
• Minimum three years’ experience in longform writing for journalism, marketing communications, employee relations, public relations or other related communication and marketing support.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound judgment and strong attention to detail.
• Strategic thinking, problem-solving skills.
• Equally adept at working independently and in collaboration with a team.
• Positive attitude and high degree of flexibility.
• Ability to think outside of the box and proactively suggest innovative ideas.
• Willingness to do what is required to deliver a superior product.
• Able to support multiple projects simultaneously with varying deadlines and stakeholders.
• Fluency in English language communications required. Ability to adapt to UK language communications a plus.
• Must be skilled in Office suite applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
• SharePoint and website management experience a plus.
