Software Engineer - Hardware AI

Remote · USA Full-time New today

Software Engineer – Hardware AI Location: Flexible | Full-time | Mission-critical We're building the future of physical engineering: an AI framework that partners with world-class hardware, thermal, and nuclear engineers to design the next generation of physical systems, creating hardware simulations and unlocking designs outside the scope of what humans alone can create. We need a 10x engineer who can ship fast, think clearly about novel ML architectures, and integrate deeply with hardware engineers. You will be the first software engineer on our team and must be an absolute champion. What You’ll Build:

  • A collaborative ML framework that augments human engineers on complex thermal, mechanical, and system development tasks
  • Tools that bridge physical design, simulation, and ML models, grounded in physics
  • An intelligent interface that learns from every design cycle—and gets smarter over time

What You Bring:

  • 3–10 years of hardcore software development experience: preferably fluent in Python, C++, or Rust
  • Demonstrated ML fluency: you’ve shipped models, built toolchains, or integrated ML into real-world workflows
  • Deep curiosity for physics, simulation, or complex energy systems
  • Speed, autonomy, and craft with a track record of operating in high-trust, low-bureaucracy teams

All requirements waiverable for extremely qualified candidates. Bonus:

  • Experience with symbolic computation, LLM integration, or simulation frameworks
  • Familiarity with CAD, FEA, CFD, or EDA tools (not mandatory)
  • Open source contributions or personal technical projects with teeth

Why This Role:

  • Work directly with elite engineers building breakthrough hardware at well-funded, seed-stage hardware startup
  • Shape a next-generation interface between human and machine intelligence
  • Own critical systems from day one
  • Join a team that moves fast, thinks big, and builds real things

Extremely competitive salary, benefits, and equity- including opportunities for direct revenue share if your product is commercialized.
