Sr. Procurement Manager - Commodity (Remote)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Procurement Manager who will be responsible for leading the overall procurement activities associated within the Energetics & Propulsion Commodity team, for the Northrop Grumman portfolio. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of acquisition professionals who are responsible for supplier subcontract management.
- Partner with our suppliers to drive effective performance, strong relationship, and reliable health within the supply chain.
- Manage internal customer and/or supplier issues.
- Manage financial goals in relation to subcontract deliveries.
- Drive the success of meeting business factory MRP.
- Drive KPI Improvement Targets.
- Develop plans to promote performance improvements.
- Provide guidance regarding subcontract management of purchase orders utilizing integrated supply chain models.
- Prepare all manner of solicitations including RFQ, RFP, and RFI.
- Analyze quotations/proposals utilizing price/cost analysis techniques.
- Develop negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations (Price, Delivery, Terms).
- Place Purchase Orders of high dollar levels and procurement complexity.
- Perform risk analysis, and develop mitigation plans and solutions to problems.
- Travel to RTX and supplier facilities as deemed necessary - typical travel may be quarterly or more.
Requirements
- Typically requires bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 7 years of relevant experience in supply chain management or similar role.
- Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) or within other heavily regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, medical, space, aviation, power generation or automotive.
- Experience in written contractual authorization/vehicles (Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, etc.).
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business Finance or STEM field.
- Supervisory/leadership experience leading a team.
- Experience in the Aerospace industry.
- Ability to analyze Cost and Pricing Data and determine proposal compliance.
- Ability to understand technical requirements of procured hardware and services including Statements of Work (SOW).
- Ability to process information and manage multiple conflicting priorities to drive to successful outcome (i.e., multi-task).
- Practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one work area.
