Key Responsibilities

As a Commercial Insurance Customer Service Representative with blithequark, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a large, established book of business, including various insurance products and client relationships
  • Providing exceptional customer service, responding to client inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Reviewing insurance contracts for inaccuracies, processing endorsements, placement requests, and invoicing
  • Completing and preparing certificates, proposals, policy summaries, and reviews
  • Checking policy coverage and endorsements on all new business and renewals
  • Applying problem-solving techniques to various issues concerning cancellations, claims, renewal issues, audits, receivables, and carrier issues
  • Working independently or as part of a team to achieve business objectives and meet client needs
  • Directly responsible for the retention of all accounts assigned to the team

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An active Property and Casualty (P&C) license
  • Above-average computer skills, with the ability to become proficient in various needed programs
  • Prior experience in a client-facing role, preferably in the insurance industry
  • Strong knowledge of commercial lines insurance coverages, including admitted and non-admitted carriers
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience with various insurance products, including commercial lines, workers' compensation, and liability insurance
  • Familiarity with insurance software and systems, including policy management and customer relationship management (CRM) tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with a strong ability to communicate and collaborate with team members and clients
