The Role
As a Full Stack Clinical Reviewer – Prior Authorization and Care Coordination, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive the right care, at the right time, and in the right setting. You'll work closely with our clinical teams to review and authorize prior authorizations, coordinate care, and make informed decisions that drive better health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Prioritize and review prior authorization requests for physical and behavioral health services, ensuring that patients receive the necessary care and support.
- Utilize clinical expertise to analyze and interpret complex medical information, making informed decisions that drive better health outcomes.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to coordinate care, develop treatment plans, and ensure seamless transitions between care settings.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure that everyone is informed and engaged in the care process.
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulations, policies, and clinical guidelines, applying this knowledge to inform decision-making and drive quality improvement.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices that enhance patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
* 5+ years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Active and unrestricted RN licensure in the state of Arizona
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHRs) and other clinical software systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
* Prior experience in prior authorization and care coordination
- Strong knowledge of clinical guidelines, policies, and regulations
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Certification in a relevant clinical specialty (e.g., CCM, CPHQ)
