As a Customer Administrative Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our Civilian Markets team at the state and local levels, making outbound sales contact, pursuing sales leads, and maintaining customer records.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Administrative Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Making outbound sales contact with government agencies and organizations at the state and local levels to promote our services and solutions
  • Pursuing sales leads and developing new business opportunities
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer records, including contact information, sales history, and account activity
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Analyzing sales data and market trends to inform sales strategies and improve results
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Providing exceptional customer service and support to ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Basic functional knowledge and skills in selling and account management, including:

+ Understanding of key business drivers and market trends + Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies + Strong communication and interpersonal skills + Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Proficiency in the use of Salesforce and other internal operational systems, including:

+ Ability to navigate and utilize CRM software to manage customer relationships and sales activity + Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools + Understanding of data security and compliance regulations

  • Ability to present information in an appropriate style and make technical information clear, including:

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills + Ability to create engaging and informative presentations and reports + Understanding of adult learning principles and effective communication techniques

  • Ability to persuade others/clients in standard situations, including:

+ Strong negotiation and influencing skills + Ability to build trust and rapport with clients and stakeholders + Understanding of conflict resolution and mediation techniques

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, account management, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in sales and customer administration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, account management, or a related field
  • Experience working in the government sector or with government agencies
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and other CRM software
  • Certification in sales, account management, or a related field

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
