About the Position

We are seeking an experienced lecturer with a specialization in neuroscience to join our team. As a lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching a range of courses in psychology and neuroscience, including introductory courses, upper-level courses, and specialized courses in neuroscience. You will also be expected to develop and implement innovative teaching and learning strategies, assess student learning outcomes, and contribute to the department's service mission.

Key Responsibilities

* Teach a range of courses in psychology and neuroscience, including introductory courses, upper-level courses, and specialized courses in neuroscience * Develop and implement innovative teaching and learning strategies to engage students and promote student learning outcomes * Assess student learning outcomes and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning strategies * Contribute to the department's service mission, including advising students, serving on departmental committees, and participating in departmental events * Develop and maintain a research program that aligns with the department's research priorities and contributes to the advancement of knowledge in the field of psychology and neuroscience * Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement departmental initiatives and programs

Essential Qualifications

* Ph.D. in Psychology or Neuroscience (ABDs will be considered if their Ph.D. will be completed before the start date) * Strong background in neuroscience and a proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences * Excellent teaching and communication skills, with the ability to engage students and promote student learning outcomes * Ability to develop and implement innovative teaching and learning strategies * Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities * Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the department's service mission

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience teaching and mentoring students in the field of psychology and neuroscience * Strong research background and a proven track record of publishing research in peer-reviewed journals * Experience developing and implementing departmental initiatives and programs * Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a proven track record of promoting inclusive teaching and learning practices
