The Role

As a Healthcare Impact Specialist, you'll be the face of Galileo, delivering exceptional hospitality and service to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to connect individuals with our various services and teams, including clinical and administrative functions. This may involve completing administrative tasks such as processing insurance authorizations, collecting medical records, and more. You'll also have the opportunity to build strong connections with our patients, understanding their unique circumstances and needs, and continually brainstorming solutions to improve our processes and their experience.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide unreasonable hospitality and service to our patients, seeking to understand their unique circumstances and needs

  • Connect individuals with our various services and teams, including clinical and administrative functions
  • Complete administrative tasks such as processing insurance authorizations, collecting medical records, and more
  • Build strong connections with our patients, understanding their needs and continually brainstorming solutions to improve our processes and their experience
  • Collaborate with our teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the patient experience
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our services and programs, ensuring that patients receive the best possible support

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about helping people and delivering exceptional patient experiences
  • Creative and resourceful, with a ability to think outside the box and resolve complex issues
  • Excellent communicator, with strong written and verbal skills and a high attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high volume and high quality support
  • Willing to learn and adapt to new situations and challenges
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) or fluent in another language
  • Able to work from our NYC HQ or remotely

Essential Qualifications:

* 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in healthcare or a related field

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high volume and high quality support
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) or fluent in another language
  • Ability to work from our NYC HQ or remotely

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a virtual or remote environment

  • Familiarity with healthcare software and systems
  • Certification in a related field, such as medical assisting or patient advocacy
