Job Summary As a Junior Geographic Information Systems Analyst at blithequark, you will play a critical role in creating geographic data, designing computer-generated maps and reports, and providing administrative support to regional Dealmakers. You will work closely with Dealmakers, representatives of blithequark, and various vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create computer-generated maps, reports, tables, and charts for assigned regions using MapInfo as required by regional Dealmakers.
  • Process requests and orders directly from blithequark Activities for market strategy guides and display materials.
  • Perform a variety of project-specific tasks, including research and representation of data as assigned.
  • Provide administrative support to regional Dealmakers by preparing accurate and timely cost reports, editing documents, booking travel, preparing visit books, and meeting other administrative requirements as needed.
  • Perform general office duties, including answering incoming calls, receiving office visitors, mail handling and preparation, ensuring all office equipment is working accurately, recording, booking conveyances, and ordering office supplies.

Required Skills and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as GIS or a related discipline.
  • General knowledge of geographic information systems.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and statistical modeling.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications To stand out as a candidate, you should have:

  • Proficiency in MapInfo.
  • A certification in GIS or two years of relevant work experience in geographic information systems.
