Job Summary As a Senior Technical Product Engineer at Delta Airlines, you will play a critical role in driving business transformation by working with cross-functional teams to identify and document APIs, develop experiments for automated test suites, and create documentation. You will be responsible for gathering, developing, planning, and maintaining business requirements for various projects and systems, as well as troubleshooting and resolving production issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Business and IT teams to identify and document APIs, report requirements for APIs and API customers, develop experiments for automated test suites, and create documentation
  • Gather, develop, plan, and maintain business requirements for various projects and systems from inception to final implementation
  • Ensure requirements meet standards and regulations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of production systems/programs/applications
  • Provide project status reports and updates to stakeholders
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and resource allocation plans
  • Lead planning meetings with teams to prioritize work in upcoming sprints
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in API practice/program at a large organization
  • Strong experience with discovery, identification, and documentation of APIs
  • Ability to work with multiple IT and business teams to gather and document API requirements
  • Experience developing requirements and test scenarios for automated test suites for APIs
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile or other rapid application development methodologies
  • Excellent technical skills to apply relevant technical processes to suitable business needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently to achieve outstanding results
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of project coordination and prior airline business experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, customer service skills, and client focus
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines
  • Experience with project management tools and techniques
