The Role

As a Remote Customer Service Representative - Healthcare Advocate at blithequark, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to 50-70 individuals every day, navigating complex healthcare systems and finding solutions to their problems
  • Building relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and providing personalized support
  • Communicating effectively with customers via phone, email, and other web-based systems
  • Managing multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing customer needs, and meeting productivity goals
  • Staying up-to-date on industry developments, medical terminology, and benefit plans to provide accurate and informed support
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve overall customer experience

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in insurance operations or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex systems and find solutions
  • Proficiency in multiple web-based systems, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to accurately document customer interactions and manage multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare or insurance experience, with knowledge of medical terminology and benefit plans
  • Background in social work, behavioral health, or a related field
  • Customer service experience, with a proven track record of providing exceptional service
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to work independently
