About the Role: Associate Project Engineer Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to join our Offices Division as an Associate Project Engineer Intern. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the development projects at 90+ airport offices and our headquarters campus. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project engineering, administrative support, and collaboration with a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with drawing design cleanliness and preparation of drawing demands from Project Managers and Initiative.
  • Travel to gather data, verify field information, and help with incorporating data gathered.
  • Refresh and expand Revit Family Libraries to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Coordinate multiple tasks and complete projects with tight deadlines, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills.
  • Develop and implement innovative ideas that could lower costs and increase value for Southwest Airlines.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
  • Strong advanced technical drawing skills, preferably in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, or comparable software.
  • Fundamental understanding of LiDAR technology is preferred.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in project engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
