Position Overview

As a Revenue Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting the client's team by managing and analyzing SaaS revenue contracts, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 policies, and maintaining up-to-date internal documentation on revenue policies, procedures, and controls. This is a temporary opportunity for a minimum of two months, with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

• ASC 606 Policy Application: Review and analyze contract terms, including modifications and deal linkages, to ensure accurate application of ASC 606 policies.
• Month-End Close Processes: Complete month-end close processes, including revenue recognition, journal entries, and reporting for management.
• Internal Documentation: Maintain up-to-date internal documentation on revenue policies, procedures, and controls.
• Contract Reviews: Conduct regular reviews and special analyses to ensure all contracts are processed and reported correctly.
• Contract Term Analysis: Carefully review contract terms, including start and end dates, revenue amounts, prepaid fees, cancellation terms, and other relevant details.
• System Setup and Processing: Ensure contracts are set up and processed correctly in the system for accurate revenue recognition.
• Order Fulfillment: Stay on top of continuous incoming orders to ensure everything is fulfilled efficiently and on time.

What You'll Focus On

As a Revenue Accountant, your primary focus will be on:

• Analyzing and managing SaaS revenue contracts to ensure compliance with ASC 606 policies.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date internal documentation on revenue policies, procedures, and controls.
• Collaborating with the team to ensure seamless month-end close processes and revenue recognition.
• Identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues related to contract processing and revenue recognition.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should:

• Have at least 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting within the SaaS industry or experience working for a public accounting firm with SaaS-based clients.
• Be well-versed in ASC 606 Revenue Recognition and have hands-on experience with SaaS contracts.
• Possess intermediate proficiency in Excel and be comfortable working with Google Suite and Slack.
• Have experience with NetSuite and Salesforce, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
• Hold a B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Be a clear communicator, with a positive attitude and the ability to work well both independently and within a team.

Software Skills Required

The following software skills are required for this role:

• NetSuite and Salesforce experience (hands-on).
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel, with familiarity with Google Suite and Slack.
• Comfortable using a MacBook for daily tasks.
