About the Role: Administrative Assistant - Remote Wayfair Data Entry

As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our distribution center operations and providing exceptional customer service. This is a unique opportunity to work remotely and be part of a fast-paced team that's shaping the future of e-commerce. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Data Entry and Reporting: Perform accurate and efficient data entry, maintain records, and generate reports to support business operations. This includes creating monthly PowerPoint presentations for the warehouse and restoring our UPH (Units Per Hour) measure normal.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with purchasing and managing inventory levels for the distribution center, ensuring seamless operations and optimal stock levels.
  • Shipping and Logistics: Coordinate and process incoming and outgoing shipments, including setting up weight, LTL, and transport shipments for the warehouse, as well as all benefits shipments.
  • Screening Outbound Loads: Monitor and screen outbound loads to ensure accurate and timely shipments.
  • Invoicing and Utilities: Manage invoicing for maintenance and utilities, ensuring timely payments and accurate records.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the distribution center team, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and performing other job-related tasks as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to build strong relationships, communicate effectively, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Administrative Experience: Previous experience in an administrative or warehousing/fulfillment environment, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and ability to quickly learn new software applications.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze problems, think critically, and develop creative solutions to drive business results.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent sitting and standing, and occasional lifting and bending.
  • Remote Work Requirements: Reliable high-speed internet connection, quiet workspace, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
