Job Overview

In this role, you will work closely with our Sales Operations, Marketing, Corporate Marketing, and Customer Engagement Center teams to achieve maximum revenue and net profit growth. You will be responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining business relationships with assigned travel agency accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and proposing and executing partnership agreements that benefit both Delta Getaways and our partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with assigned travel agency accounts to increase market share and drive sales growth
  • Identify, prospect, assess, and initiate new travel agency business opportunities to support company objectives
  • Conduct sales calls with key office contacts to deliver Delta Getaways product and service updates, sales-related opportunities, objectives, and performance reviews
  • Propose and execute partnership agreements that ensure mutual benefit and value for Delta Getaways and our partners
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans, including marketing and co-op advertising plans, for key accounts
  • Implement a time and territory management plan for assigned office accounts
  • Assess clients' business needs, evaluate performance, and initiate strategic proposals for growth towards plan objectives

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • 2+ years of travel industry sales experience required
  • Strong communication, social, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong numerical ability and analytical skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Embraces diversity, different perspectives, and styles

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of travel industry sales experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Delta Getaways programs, policies, procedures, and reservation systems
  • Skilled at defining problems, gathering data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions
  • Ability to efficiently lead multiple tasks and deliver results concurrently
  • Proficient in communications with management, staff, and clients while demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making skills
