The Disney Streaming Information and Examination association is seeking an exceptional Data Analyst to join our High-Level Investigation, Content team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in applying analytical rigor to enhance our content portfolio, marketing, and release strategy.

Job Summary

We're looking for a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for applying advanced analytical techniques to large-scale, high-dimensional data to drive business decisions. You'll work closely with our content team to analyze customer behavior, anticipate content engagement, and streamline our content launch and episode release strategy. Key Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced analytical techniques (data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, machine learning) on large-scale, high-dimensional data to drive business decisions.
  • Analyze customer behavior (e.g., genre preferences, viewing patterns) to identify unmet customer needs and untapped content opportunities.
  • Anticipate content engagement to inform procurement decisions.
  • Streamline our content launch and episode release strategy.
  • Test marketing strategies to optimize engagement and retention.
  • Ideate and develop new metrics and KPIs to measure content performance for both tactical and strategic decision-making.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis support to stakeholders to help drive the business forward.
  • Effectively communicate insights through compelling data storytelling across the organization.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in data analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with R and/or Python.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning techniques, such as decision trees, regression, clustering, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and apply creativity in solving complex problems.
  • Exceptional data storytelling skills through verbal, written, and visual communication.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • A graduate degree in Information Science, Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A passion for media and entertainment.
