About the role

As a Senior Engineer on the Blockchain team, you will play a key role in architecting, building, and maintaining Paxos’ blockchain infrastructure and applications. You’ll use your deep technical expertise and hands-on skills to deliver secure and scalable solutions, collaborating closely across functions to help shape our technological direction and execute complex projects.

What you’ll do

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with substantial expertise in blockchain technologies.
• Proven hands-on experience with deploying and maintaining code in production environments, including cloud platforms and services.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; able to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues independently.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset; comfortable working with stakeholders from multiple disciplines.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively and delivering high-value results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Passion for learning and making meaningful contributions in the areas of blockchain protocols, cryptographic principles, consensus algorithms, and decentralized applications (dApps).
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

About you

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Golang or Java preferred; Kotlin, Rust, Python, or C++ also valued.)
• Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design.
• Experience building and maintaining cloud-native services using tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and AWS.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, especially in production environments.
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities; able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience working on high-throughput, low-latency systems or trading infrastructure is a strong plus.
• A passion for innovation and driving technical solutions to real-world problems.
