Internal Control Associate

Remote · USA Full-time New today

AstroPay. Fast, simple, borderless.

We hire smart, driven people who hate bureaucracy and love ownership. Builders, not talkers. We move fast. We ship. We improve. Every day.

You’ll be surrounded by a global A-team—diverse, talented, and radically committed to doing great work. No politics. No passengers. Just impact.

If you're after comfort, look elsewhere. If you're ready to grow at speed, challenge everything, and build something real—join us.

At AstroPay we move fast, build big, and keep things real. We’re not looking for someone to push numbers around—we want a builder who can bring clarity and discipline to complex accounting flows across LATAM.

What you’ll do
  • Own day-to-day accounting: journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets.

  • Make sure we’re rock-solid on IFRS, US GAAP, and local LATAM GAAPs (Brazil, Argentina, Peru).

  • Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual closings—no delays, no excuses.

  • Review balances, resolve discrepancies, and keep the books sharp.

  • Support audits with clean documentation and clear explanations.

  • Jump into ERP enhancements and system migrations—control-minded from day one.

  • Reconcile complex transaction flows across products, assets, liabilities, and intercompany.

  • Test, analyze, and improve internal controls. If something’s broken, you don’t just flag it—you fix it.

What you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

  • 3+ years in audit or accounting in payments or a related industry. Big 4 background? Big plus.

  • Deep knowledge of IFRS, COSO, and LATAM GAAPs (Brazil, Argentina, Peru).

  • Strong with Oracle, Excel, and financial tools.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese is a bonus.

  • Analytical, detail-obsessed, and an excellent communicator.

Important Notice: By submitting your application for this position, you acknowledge and consent to the completion of a comprehensive background check as a mandatory part of the final hiring process. This procedure is essential to uphold the standards and integrity of our organization. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
