Head of Data Science & Analytics

About the Role:

We are seeking aHead of Data Science & Analyticsto lead and elevate our data function atHeetch. This role blendstechnical expertise with strategic influence, ensuring that data is at the heart of every product and business decision.

You will oversee ahigh-performing team of data scientists and product analysts, focusing onmaximising impact, driving experimentation, and fostering continuous growth. You willempower and up skillexisting talent, helping them expand their capabilities and ownership.

What You’ll Do:

Leadership & Team Development

- Mentor, coach, and developdata scientists and analysts to reach their full potential

- Creategrowth opportunitieswithin the team, ensuring they take on new challenges and expand their expertise

- Foster aculture of analytical excellence, curiosity, and ownership

Data Strategy & Execution

- Define and drive thedata science & analytics roadmap, aligning with business and product priorities

- Balancepredictive modelling, experimentation, and deep analyticsto unlock strategic opportunities

- Ensure best practices indata governance, quality, and scalability

Experimentation & Decision Science

- ScaleA/B testing and causal inference frameworksto support data-driven product iteration

- Develop methodologies to measure impact and optimise key metrics

- Partner withPMs, engineers, and leadershipto ensure data is a central part of decision-making

Product & Business Impact

- Leveragedata storytelling and advanced analyticsto influence strategic decisions

- Bridgedata science and product analytics, ensuring teams have the right tools and insights to move fast

- Advocate for adata-driven culture, helping teams translate insights into action

Challenges You’ll Face:

- Balancing technical depth with strategic priorities

- Building and maintaining alignment across diverse stakeholders

- Navigating the competitive landscape of the mobility industry

- We’re currently undergoing a big transformation on the tech side, so you’ll need to be able to balance priorities while ensuring excellent communication within your team and with stakeholders

About You:

- 10+ years of experiencein Data Science, Analytics or a related field, with3+ years of leadership experience

- Proven ability torecruit,develop and mentorhigh-performing teams

- Deep expertise inPython, SQL, and statistical modelling, with experience inproduction-grade data science

- Strong background inexperimentation, A/B testing, and causal inference

- Ability totranslate complex data insights into business actions

- Hands-on experience withmodern data platforms (BigQuery, Dataform, Vertex, Amplitude, etc.)
