Role Purpose

Support our Sales Development team by researching and qualifying leads, handling inbound prospects, and booking appointments with our full-time staff. This role is designed as an entry point into SaaS sales, providing exposure to pipeline creation, CRM processes, and customer interactions.

Your main focus will be:

  • Lead research and qualification

  • Handling inbound lead calls and emails

  • Appointment scheduling with Account Executives / Sales Managers

  • Maintaining clean data in HubSpot and ensuring follow-up discipline

You’ll work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure that inbound interest is converted into high-quality opportunities for our sales organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Research & Qualification

  • Research inbound leads to ensure fit (company size, location, potential volume)

  • Apply basic qualification frameworks (e.g. BANT, ICP checks)

  • Keep lead and account data up to date in HubSpot

Inbound Handling & Outreach

  • Call inbound leads to confirm interest and gather initial information

  • Respond promptly to inquiries via phone and email

  • Convert marketing-generated leads into scheduled appointments

Appointment Setting

  • Book qualified meetings for Account Executives and Sales Managers

  • Manage scheduling across calendars to reduce friction for prospects and internal staff

  • Ensure pre-call notes and context are captured in HubSpot

CRM Hygiene & Reporting

  • Enter and update all interactions in HubSpot

  • Track lead status, activity, and conversion rates

  • Flag issues or inconsistencies in data to the Sales Ops team

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate closely with Marketing (for lead flow and campaigns)

  • Share insights from conversations with Sales and Marketing teams

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving lead conversion

Must‑Have Experience

  • Currently enrolled student (Business, Economics, Communications, or similar)

  • Strong verbal communication skills and professional phone manner (German & English)

  • Comfortable speaking with new people and asking qualifying questions

  • Basic understanding of CRM systems (HubSpot experience a plus)

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable in follow-up

Nice‑to‑Have

  • Previous internship or working student experience in Sales, Marketing, or Customer Service

  • Familiarity with SaaS / tech industry sales cycles

  • Experience using HubSpot or another CRM tool

  • Interest in developing a career in Sales or Business Development

  • The role reports to the Sales Development Manager (or equivalent lead in Sales)

  • Based in Berlin, with hybrid flexibility (remote + in-office days)

  • Part-time working student position (15–20 hours per week during the semester; up to 40 hours during breaks)
