Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a remote basis. As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing prescriptions, maintaining patient records, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities

  • Screen and process prescriptions for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Read and interpret prescription terminology, utilizing knowledge of generic and brand medications, and enter prescription information into our computer system.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in prescriptions, directing questionable prescriptions to prescribers for clarification and obtaining necessary information.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform other pharmacy-related functions as required, including data entry, faxing physicians for clarification, and supporting workflow development.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy license or trainee permit.
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program.
  • 3 months of pharmacy experience.
  • Verifiable high school diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer knowledge and typing skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with pharmacy management software and systems.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including prescription processing and patient records.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
