Job Summary
As a Full Stack Data Engineer at Walgreens, you will be responsible for building and maintaining massive information pipelines to support advanced analytics and information generation solutions. You will work closely with data scientists to define data requirements for the design, development, and deployment of new solutions that drive business priorities. Your expertise in data engineering will enable us to generate insights, address reporting needs, and make data-driven decisions that improve customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop software applications that process, store, and serve data for use by others.
- Design and develop data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data that enables generating insights and addresses reporting needs.
- Write ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) techniques, design database systems, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytic processing.
- Develop scalable, repeatable, and secure data pipelines.
- Troubleshoot software applications and techniques for data consistency and integrity.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring that they adhere to data standards and accessibility requirements.
- Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders to communicate semi-complex facts related to assigned activities.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology).
- At least 2 years of experience in data engineering.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL.
- Experience building and maintaining key relationships with internal (e.g., stakeholders, business partners, leadership) and external (e.g., vendors, clients) partners in a matrix organization.
- Experience reading and reporting data in a meaningful way to understand issues, trends, or exceptions that inform business outcomes and solutions.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within the United States and internationally).

- Graduate degree in a technical discipline.
- Experience with REST API development.
- Experience with Azure software deployment.
