About the Role: Remote Data Entry Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Pharmacist to join our team as a Remote Data Entry Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of patient data, prescriptions, and other relevant information. Key Responsibilities

Patient Experience

  • Engage with patients remotely to provide support and answer queries, ensuring a positive patient experience.
  • Model and promote customer service best practices, demonstrating empathy and inclusivity.
  • Proactively anticipate patient needs and offer relevant services, enhancing their overall experience.
  • Participate in events and activities that reflect the unique communities we serve.

Tasks

  • Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions, referring to healthcare providers as necessary.
  • Perform pharmacist tasks, including compounding, medication therapy reviews, and prescription management.
  • Accurately dispense prescribed medications, adhering to regulatory guidelines and company policies.
  • Ensure the pharmacy operates in compliance with regulations, company policies, and standards.
  • Support the pharmacy supervisor in analyzing performance data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance patient experience and financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local healthcare professionals, participating in community outreach initiatives to promote the pharmacy business.

People and Performance Management

  • Assist the Pharmacy Administrator with staff recruitment, training, and development.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, promoting a shared vision and recognizing colleague achievements.

Training and Self-Development

  • Maintain current knowledge and skills related to pharmacy and healthcare, staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities, seeking feedback and mentorship from pharmacy leaders.
  • Communicate effectively with the pharmacy team, sharing relevant information and best practices.

Essential Qualifications

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the region.
  • Experience performing prescription dispensing activities, demonstrating a strong understanding of relevant state and federal controlled substance laws.
  • Certified Immunizer or ability to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
