About the Role

The Awards Events Lead – EMEA will play a critical role in leading and executing our honors campaigns across Movies, Series, and Narratives. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our global events strategy. Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the cross-functional team to identify which titles will benefit from events as part of their honors campaigns, ensuring a deep understanding of key titles.
  • Lead the development of the honors event schedule and budget for the season, working closely with the EMEA Awards Chief to ensure alignment.
  • Successfully manage relationships with cross-functional partners, able to communicate event needs and plans simultaneously under tight deadlines and thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
  • Curate and execute our honors events experiences, ensuring they meet rules and requirements.
  • Drive innovation and creativity, ensuring our honors events are top-tier and supporting our mission to achieve results.

Key Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 8+ years of experience in the film/entertainment industry with an organization, studio, or broadcaster, ideally with film festival experience.
  • Comfort with travel and flexible working hours, including nights and weekends, due to the nature of the role.
  • Solid critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly identify the root cause of issues and independently resolve them.
  • Enthusiasm and excitement about the work we do, with a drive to continually improve and a willingness to take feedback and act on it.
  • A compact and sincere communication style, both written and verbal, with a strong point of view, and the ability to skillfully influence key stakeholders and build deep connections across the business, even when saying no.
  • Comfort with working independently and making decisions, even in uncertain conditions.
  • The ability to be an idea leader and supporter of the overall EMEA Events Group, serving as a sounding board for the EMEA Events Chief and contributing to the effective running of our 30+ member regional events team.
